GREENX Silk Emulsion: Interior Wall Paint, Sizes & Preparation Guide

GREENX Silk Emulsion is a PVA copolymer-based interior paint for walls and ceilings. It provides a smooth matt finish and is suitable for homes, offices and commercial interiors. This guide explains where to use it, which sizes are available, and what to check before ordering.

What finish does GREENX Silk Emulsion give?

Silk Emulsion gives an even matt appearance rather than a high-gloss finish. The water-based formulation is low odour, easy to apply and quick drying. It can be applied by brush, roller or spray, with water used for clean-up.

Where can it be used?

Use it on prepared interior plaster, concrete, gypsum board and brickwork. Typical areas include bedrooms, lounges, office walls and ceilings. For exterior masonry, compare GREENX Weather Shield instead.

Available pack sizes

GREENX Silk Emulsion is available in 1kg, 4kg and 16kg packs. These are weight-based sizes, not litre measurements. Do not convert a pack's weight to litres without product-specific density information.

To choose quantities, measure each wall's width and height, add the ceiling if it will be painted, and subtract large openings. Send the surface area, existing wall colour and condition to our team for a quantity recommendation. Coverage depends on preparation, surface porosity, application and the number of coats; a single fixed coverage figure is not provided here.

Prepare the walls before painting

1. Check for damp patches, flaking paint and loose plaster. Resolve moisture problems before applying a finish.
2. Remove dust, grease and loose material so the surface is clean and sound.

Application and drying

Use clean water as the thinner and follow the instructions supplied with your pack. Work evenly across the surface, keeping edges consistent. Confirm the recommended dilution and recoat interval with GREENX Paints rather than using a universal mixing ratio: drying conditions and surface preparation affect the result.
